Patterns

The following patterns have been recognized within the fife: Color point, mitted, bicolour, tabby and tortie.
The Ragdoll should not have white in the ears and white in the tail.

The color point

The mask, the ears, the legs and the tail are well defined and in harmony with the body color.

The color point should not have any white spots.

The mitted

The mask, the ears, the legs and the tail are well defined and in harmony with the body color.

The chin is white.

A white narrow strip may run over the bridge of the nose. This may run up to the forehead.

A narrow white stripe can run across the muzzle as long as it follows the meridian into the chin.

A white line runs across the abdomen. This extends from the collar between the front and hind legs to the tail.

White mittens on the front legs and hind legs should be white to at least the heel and up to half way into the hip.

The nose can be pink or in the color of the points.

The foot pads are pink.

The mitted should have a white chin. There should be no dark spots in the mittens. Dark spots are allowed on the hind legs. There should be no dark spot in the white belly stripe. The white belly strip should not be missing.

The bicolor

The mask, ears and tail are well defined and in harmony with the body color.

The mask has an inverted white V.

The body color is a shade lighter than the points.

The belly should be white with no spots.

White legs are preferred.

The tabby (lynx)

Tabby is a stripe pattern that can appear with all patterns and colors.

The whiskers pads are spotted.

A light colored edge runs around the eyes.

Also around the edge on the inside of the auricle has a slight edge.

The tabby (agouti) hairs have yellowish or white bands. The tabby parts can be separated with solid (without stripes) parts.

A light color around the nostrils, above the lip and in the chin is allowed.

The tortie

The tortie pattern only occurs in females.

A seal tortie has seal and red spots.

Torties can also have a tabby pattern.

A blue tortie has blue and cream spots.
